INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE AVIATOR TRIAL VERSION ========================================== - Download AviatorTrial.zip from the Aviator Software web site - Extract the files to c:\lotus\notes\data\aviator (your Lotus Notes client data folder). - For each of the following extracted databases: Aviator Library Configuration (avicfg.nsf) Aviator Log (avilog.nsf) Aviator Web Files (avifiles.nsf) Aviator Cabinet R3 (avicab.ntf) Open each database using your Lotus Notes client and use File - Database - New Copy to create a copy of the database on your Lotus Domino server (in any sub-directory). - Using a Domino Administrator client, sign the server copy of the databases with an appropriate user or server ID (to prevent certification warnings). - Using a Domino Administrator client, enter the following command in your Domino server console (to enable attachments on the Web): SET CONFIG DisableDominoFileUploadChecks=1 - Using a Domino Administrator client, enter the following command in your Domino server console (to enable Web browser access): LOAD HTTP (if HTTP is already started, enter TELL HTTP RESTART) - Open the server copy of the Aviator Library Configuration database (avicfg.nsf) using your Lotus Notes client. - The General Settings are opened in edit mode by default. Accept the defaults and configure the following additional fields (at a minimum): General Administrators: enter an administration group Http Hosts for Notifying General Administrators: enter the IP address of DNS name of your Domino server - Save and close the General Settings document - Click Configure Libraries in the navigator - Expand the Sample Library and open the Sample Cabinet profile. Accept the defaults and configure the following additional fields (at a minimum): Profile Editors: enter an administration group Cabinet Servers: enter the Domino server name Cabinet Administrators: enter an administration group Cabinet Authors (optional): enter a user group Cabinet Filepath: enter an appropriate filepath on the Domino server (any sub-directory) Http Hosts: enter the IP address of DNS name of your Domino server - Save and close the Cabinet Profile document. Click Yes when prompted to create the cabinet database. - Log into Aviator using a Lotus Notes client or a Web browser using the following URL: http://yourhost/aviator/avicfg.nsf
