Aviator Software Releases ODMA Client for its Document Management Technology System Expands Aviator's Flexibility and Ease-of-Use; Integrates with Office Productivity Applications ORLANDO, Fla., January 16, 2000 Aviator Software becomes the first Lotus Business Partner to provide an ODMA-compliant interface to a 100% pure Notes application. The ODMA client closely integrates standard office productivity applications with Aviator, making its file management functionality even easier and more intuitive for end-users. Aviator is an advanced file management system that enables users to manage files more effectively. The new ODMA client makes Aviator even easier to use. With ODMA, users can open and work with files stored in Aviator directly from their office applications (such as Microsoft Word or Corel WordPerfect), and save them back into Aviator without having to open Notes or the Aviator Library. The ODMA client saves valuable time by eliminating the detaching and reattaching steps typically associated with managing files in a Notes application. In addition, Aviator's ODMA client allows access to multiple files within a single document - functionality not available with other Notes file or document management applications. "This release simplifies the end users interaction with Aviator," said Morgan Palmer, CEO, Aviator Software, Inc. "The ODMA client circumvents the standard Notes file attachment paradigm by giving users the option to create, edit, and save into Aviator from their favorite applications." Aviator takes full advantage of Lotus Notes/Domino technology. By running Aviator on the robust Lotus Domino platform, organizations leverage their investment in Dominos award-winning security, server-to-server database replication and messaging features. Aviator also requires minimal time to install, set up and deploy, leaving customers more time to focus on their day-to-day business concerns, rather than system administration.
