Aviator Software Releases the Next Version of its Document Management System

Aviator's Release 2.3b with ODMA 1.1b deliver improved workflow, alphanumeric revisions, and simplified user operability

ORLANDO, Fla., January 14, 2001 - Aviator Software, Inc., the leading provider of Document Management Technology to the Lotus market, today announced the next release of Aviator, its world-class document management system for Lotus Notes/Domino. The latest enhancements are in response to results of customer feedback gathered earlier this year. Aviator R2.3b together with its ODMA client R1.1b now enable parallel processing in its review and approval workflow, allow the option to use numeric or alphanumeric revisions, and simplify and reduce the user's steps in managing documents.

Aviator's improved workflow allows multiple users to be assigned to review a document simultaneously. The powerful "parallel" workflow can be incorporated in series with any review process requiring simultaneous as well as single reviewers. Alphanumeric revisions allow manufacturing firms to use Aviator without changing revision schemes which can be confusing to end users. Aviator's simplified operability, such as reduced steps in document creation processes and changing required items to optional, saves users valuable time.
